I'm up early Thursday morning, trying to do some studying for my test in class later today. Often times when i'm nervouus about a test, I tend to snack on random things.
Well, Monday, which was Halloween, I decided to do some small groccery shopping just to prepare myself for my snack crave right before the test. I went to Kroger and I purchased two boxes of cereal... both of which, weren't the name brand cereal. One was some off brand Rice Krispy cereal and the other was some Kroger brand Lucky Charms. Initially, I really didn't want to get the off brand cereal, in fear of the cereal being stale or just not tasty, but this day I wanted to be cheap and save a few coins, so I purchased them. So, it's early Thursday morning, and I started craving some cereal out of nowhere... so I decided to get me some of the knock off Lucky charms. I pour my cereal and milk into a bowl and start chowing down while reviewing my powerpoints. Often times when I'm eating this type of cereal, I like to look at each spoonfull of cereal just to make sure that I have at least a few marshmellows in every bite. Well on my third spoonfull I found something attached to one of the dry pieces of cereal that hadn't quite been touched by the milk. I ran to the kitchen in fear of realizing what it actually was. When I spooned the piece out of the bowl and into the light, thats when I realized that it was a bug.
OF COURSE I was pissed, but I calmly sat the food down and tried to reframe from throwing up. I wasn't able to speak to anyone from the company because it was too early in the morning. I will be calling tomorrow though. I'm sure that the spokes people will be asking alot of retarded questions like, my certainty that the bug wasn't already in the bowl that I used, or if it was in the milk, or if it was just in the house. I know that if came from the cereal because it was dead, dry, and attached to the piece of cereal. If it were in the milk, it would have come out earlier in the day when I made tea and it would've been wet. I used a clear blue glass bowl to put my cereal in. I washed it out right before I used it, and I rechecked it for dishwasher stains. I am so disgusted. I don't know if I will ever eat cereal again....ESPECIALLY NOT OFF BRAND CEREAL! This could even be a law suit if I wanted to pusuit it as one. I could almost expect this type of thing to happen from Walmart food, but not Kroger. They should be extra careful with this type of stuff....bugs, and rodents...and all.
Most people would consider my suit frivolous, but I don't think they would be saying that if it were them or their children eating bugs from a cereal box. This is utterly disgusting. Anyways... just wanted to share my experience.
This is the life of my life...all of my journeys, rants, craves, and everything. Enjoy!

Eyelashes Galore!!!
Of course, I forgot to take pics right before I got the false lashes applied, so I had to find some random pics that showed my before lashes. Anyways, I wanted a different look for Halloween so I decided to get some false individual lashes at the salon. Since I had such a difficult time trying to apply the strip laashes (found at your local beauty supply), I decided to go to Arch 23 to get some individual lashes applied.
MY EXPERIENCE: This was my first time getting lashes, so I was really excited. The lady who did my lashes "the first time" was quite polite and friendly. The down fall came after she applied the lashes to my right eye. The lashes started agitating my eye really bad, so she had to reapply them. After that, everything was pretty good. After finishing both eyes, I looked up and I was amazed at how natural they looked. I think I even got more stares and compliments than usual lol. The lashes looked great with my Halloween costume which was thrilling. Problem!!!!!! So I got them applied on Monday afternoon, and by Wednesday morning, I was already having issues. The individual lashes placed closest to the inner corner of my right eye was beginning to peel off and scratch my eye. I forked out 30 bucks to get my lashes done and they were supposed to last for at least 2 wks, so you can imagine how upset I was. Today I went back to have them fixed. There was a different woman in the salon who was initially reluctant in helping me. She called her supervisor and he told her to charge me 5 bucks to fix the issue. I, unfortunately agreed to pay, even though I felt like it was a rip off. I just wanted that small portion of my lashes fixed, but she informed me that she would have to take them all off and apply new lashes. (HUGE SIGH) ok. After she finished placing the lashes, she handed me a mirror to show me the difference between lashes that are properly placed and lashes that aren't. In all honesty, I don't think there was a difference, and therefore I didn't include another pic. The woman went on ranting and complaining that the first woman who applied my lashes wasn't trained in applying eyelashes. She kept talking about how the woman never listens to her and does what she wants to do and blah blah blah. That was so unprofessional, complaining about her coworker to a client......and as she kept consistently talking, I was getting sick to my stomach. Her breath smelled horrible....like some garbage and old mop water. UGH. Anyways, after she applied the lashes, I started experiencing this sticky feeling on my eye. She informed me that the bonding glue that she used was not dry. I tipped her, even though I really didn't want to. I left the salon feeling worser than I did the first time. Now, 2 hours later, I still feel as though the lashes are sticky on my eyes and heavy. I don't think I will ever get this service done again, but if I do decide to get them, I will probably go when the first woman is there. I hate negativity and I don't like gossip. I don't think she would've charged me to fix them either. When the first woman applied them I didn't have any funny, sticky residue from the glue on my eye and I didn't have to wait such a long period for the glue from the lashes to dry......
I like the lashes. They are cute and fun, but as a temporary, special occasion accessory, similar to acrylic nails.
Halloween time
So I decided to dress up again this year. I love it. This year I decided to go as a Greek Goddess, but since I was questioned, why a greek goddess and not an African Goddess, I decided to go with an Egyptian Goddess. Lol people will always find something wrong with everything that you do. So anyways, I did my eyes up all fancy applied my lovely shimmering makeup and was good. The costume didn't cost me much. Just 2 1/2 yards of white fabric from the local Hancock fabrics and a black under shirt. I had fun with the gold trimming. I put some around my waist and my forehead. Although we didn't go to a Halloween party this year, we actually went for dinner and had a good time. Next year, I'm going all out for my costume. Hear are a few pics from the past Halloweens.

Long Term Transition to Natural Hair
This photo was taken at 24 months into my transition/ post relaxer. I think that I am now kinda ready to cut off the remaining ends. Nowadayz I'm rocking the kinky twists that I wore on my vacation. My protective styles have been a godsend throughout this transition. If I didn't have protective styles to wear, I don't think I would've been able to transition for such a long period of time. So, I wanted to transition for 28 months, but I think I may cut my hair a little sooner since my ends are beginning to drive me nuts. I have some single strand knots on some of the ends of my hair and they don't feel nice at all. They make my ends feel so rough. I can't wait to cut them off.
If you look closely you can see small knots on my hair....ugh!

Now I feel like a GROUPIE!
OhMyGosH! So a friend and I decided to go out to a local restaurant for a late lunch. Upon obtaining my food, I noticed that a familiar face walked in for food. I immediately knew who he was, but my friend was in the dark. I'm quite familiar with the Memphis Grizzlies and the faces of the athletes that play on the team so I immediately lit up when I saw Rudy Gaye walk in with his entourage. Although he wasn't the first NBA player that I met, I still got excited because I was in the presence of an NBA player. For more certainty, I even asked my waiter was that him, and he informed me that in fact it was him and that he often visits that restaurant. My friend and I (mostly me) started plotting and trying to figure out a way to ask for his autograph and picture....and we came to absolutely nothing. The waiter seen us looking kinda frantic and asked us if we wanted him to tell Mr. Gaye to come over to speak to us. I said yeah, even though I thought that would be a major fail. If I was a celebrity I wouldn't approach a fan to give them an autograph, so I figured that would be weird. The waiter came back and said that Mr. Gaye was coming to our table later to speak to us...and he also gave us a side note that Mr. Gaye was also acting like a DIVA. I waited for like 10mins and I knew that the whole thing was a joke and that he really wasn't coming to speak to us at our table. I finally gathered up the balls to get up and walk to his table. We walked to his table and I smiled really big and I greeted him and asked him would he take a pic with me. I told him that I was a big Grizzlie fan...hoping that he would make it a little better. This guy was really acting like a DIVA! Beyonce said it best. He was acting like it hurt him to take a pic with me. I didn't hold a gun up to his head so I wish that he didn't feel so obligated to take a pic. Now, I know that I may not be the prettiest girl in the world, but I know that I look good and that I'm desireable to men, so I don't really understand why he was treating me like the dog faced girl. He was not friendly at all. He didn't even want to be bothered. This guy is a joke. I should've made a comment about the lockout situation lol. I told him thanks anyways, but as I was walking away, I couldn't help but feel like I was a groupie. He sure treated me like one. I didn't want to post the pic on facebook, but I absolutely had to blog about it....and that's not the worst part of the story. So as my friend and I were leaving the restaurant, Mr. Gaye walked out behind us. He was walking to the parking lot as I approached my car. After unlocking my car door, I saw a Caucasian woman smile and wave at Mr. Gaye. He absolutely lit up. HE WAS GLOWING! He was friendly and he was smiling so hard. He approached her vehicle and she shook his hand and giggled. I sighed and got in my car. I asked my friend did she see that and she claimed she didn't. The whole situation is annoying and frustrating. I approached the guy practically in the same manner as the Caucasian woman and he reacted in a totally different way. I guess my skin was not bright enough and my body wasn't thin enough. To be honest, I don't know what it was about me. I'm quite friendly and cordial to everyone that I meet. I'm able to talk and hold conversations with everyone, so I don't know why he treated me in such a manner after speaking with me for 3 secs........................ small rant.

Vacation to Panama City Beach!
We had an absolute blast Panama City Beach, Fl. It's fall break at school, so the boy and I decided to take a small trip to PCB.....The beach was nice and the weather was great. The condo that we stayed in had an awesome view of the beach. We will definitely be coming back. This was our second visit and we had a blast. We lounged around and relaxed for the most part. I of course, shopped a lil bit and we ate out at a few local restaurants. I was craving oysters the entire trip, so I ate them multiple times. The weather was pretty nice the entire trip, but it actually started raining on the day that we left..... On the way home, we had to brace ourselves to freezing cold weather, which was a real down fall, but it was good to be home.
